Alt-Grottenhof, a vocational school for agriculture and forestry, is located in Graz, Austria. Since 1867 the school has offered education to young people in the field of plant production, animal keeping, direct marketing, organic farming, economics and forestry competences. All this in theory and practical training.

Nowadays about 50 employees collaborate to run an organic farm and try to do their best to pass on knowledge and experience to the students. After three years school finishes with a cerfiticate of craftsman in agriculture and forestry. This education is a profound preparation to continue with higher school education or start a traineeship for any kind of skills.

Since three years the school and european neighbours have collaborated to offer basic agricultural courses to Roma people, specialized on garlic production.
